This six-week mini-course explores one of Judaism’s most fundamental and complex ideas: the notion of being a "chosen people." Together, we will examine how chosenness is presented in the Torah, interpreted by rabbinic sages, and reimagined by modern thinkers. Participants will engage with key texts and grapple with the ethical, theological, and communal implications of this concept. By the end of the course, we will reflect on what chosenness means for Jewish identity and practice in today’s world.
