The Sisterhood of Temple Shaari Emeth is a vibrant and dynamic community that plays a pivotal role in enhancing the spiritual, educational, and social life of the synagogue. As an integral part of the congregation, the Sisterhood fosters a sense of unity and support among its members through a variety of engaging activities and programs. Jewish Men’s Club
The Men's Club of Temple Shaari Emeth is a cornerstone of community engagement, dedicated to fostering camaraderie and spiritual growth among its members. Renaissance - Senior Activities Group
The Renaissance Group is a thriving community designed for adults in their mid-life years who seek to deepen their connections within the synagogue. Focused on fostering personal growth, spiritual enrichment, and social interaction, the Renaissance Group offers a wide range of activities and events. These include cultural outings, educational programs, social gatherings, and community service initiatives. By providing opportunities for engagement and camaraderie, the Renaissance Group enhances the communal life of its members, ensuring they remain active, connected, and inspired within the Jewish community. This group plays a vital role in maintaining the vibrant, multi-generational fabric of Congregation Shaari Emeth.
YOSHE - Jewish Youth Group
Our youth group, collectively known as YOSHE (Youth of Shaari Emeth), offer vibrant and engaging opportunities for young members to connect, grow, and lead within the synagogue community. Ranging from pre-kindergarten through high school, these groups are designed to cater to the diverse interests and developmental stages of Jewish youth. Programs include social events, educational activities, leadership development, and community service projects, all aimed at fostering a strong sense of Jewish identity and community involvement. YOSHE provides a supportive and dynamic environment where young people can build lasting friendships, explore their heritage, and develop a lifelong commitment to Jewish values and traditions.
Religious Action Center - Social Justice Committee
The Religious Action Center is a dedicated hub for advocacy, education, and action, reflecting the synagogue's commitment to tikkun olam, the Jewish mandate to repair the world. This center engages congregants in meaningful efforts to address pressing social issues such as poverty, racism, environmental sustainability, and human rights. Through a variety of programs, including educational workshops, community service projects, and partnerships with local and national organizations, RAC empowers members to make a tangible impact.
College Age Group
The College Connection program is a vital initiative designed to maintain and strengthen the bonds between the synagogue and its college-aged members. Recognizing the importance of staying connected to one's faith community during the transitional college years, this program offers support, communication, and engagement opportunities for students. Through thoughtful care packages, holiday greetings, and updates on synagogue events, the College Connection ensures that young adults feel remembered and valued while away at school. Additionally, it provides a platform for students to reconnect with each other and the congregation during breaks and special occasions.
