Shalom and welcome to Temple Shaari Emeth!
Jewish tradition describes the synagogue using several different names including beyt k’nesset (house of gathering), beyt tefillah (house of prayer) and beyt midrash (house of study). Each of these terms describes elements necessary for creating a strong, vibrant, and meaningful congregation. Temple Shaari Emeth embodies all three of these traditions by being a house of gathering, a house of prayer and a house of study for all.
TSE offers incredible opportunities for people to gather together, including an active Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Renaissance Group and four exciting Youth Groups that begin in third grade and continue all the way through High School.
All of these groups offer the opportunity to engage in Jewish community and build new friendships. There are activities for people of all ages and interests to enhance their lives through participation in the Temple.
TSE is proud to be a house of prayer that offers warm, participatory Shabbat and Holiday services. Led by our beloved Cantor Siet, our sanctuary is always filled with the melodies of our tradition and the voices of our congregation. We are egalitarian, allowing men and women to participate fully and equally in worship. Our house of prayer provides the opportunity for you to enhance your spirituality.
TSE has always placed great emphasis on being a house of study. We have an outstanding Religious School Program that begins in Kindergarten, trains our children for Bar/Bat Mitzvah and continues through Confirmation in 10th Grade. Our Early Learning Center is a vibrant place where children learn and thrive in a creative, inviting atmosphere. We offer an array of supplementary programs for parents and children to learn and grow together. Between Continuing Education sessions, Choirs, Hebrew classes, Adult B’nai Mitzva and ongoing weekly Torah study, we offer opportunities for life long learning and growth.
Explore this site and learn more about the TSE community, the talented staff and committed leadership that makes us an outstanding Reform Congregation in Monmouth County. I am pleased to be part of a loving, committed and creative team that builds such a dynamic atmosphere. Consider coming in and getting to know me and the staff in person.
TSE offers something for everyone and we welcome families and individuals of all ages, races and backgrounds. We are truly a warm, welcoming and embracing community. But the only way to get a sense of who we are is to experience TSE for yourself. Come experience services, a study session or a social program. I know that you will see Temple Shaari Emeth is more than merely a “house,” -- it is truly a Jewish home.
L’shalom,
