Shalom:
On behalf of Temple Shaari Emeth, welcome to our website and our community. Temple Shaari Emeth is a Reform Congregation located in
Manalapan, New Jersey. Serving Western Monmouth County and beyond, we take great pride in being a warm, caring, and vibrant congregation.
Together, we celebrate, worship, learn, and help others. Our legacy is a strong community and an enduring future for our children and
grandchildren.
We are a member congregation in the
Union for Reform Judaism
, the North American organization that represents Reform Judaism, with all the access to programming and resources that membership implies.
One of the benefits of membership in the Union is the
North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY)
which provides a wide array of programming for high school children on the local, regional, and national levels. Many of our children go to
the Union summer camp programs, where they share wonderful Jewish experiences with kids from all over the country.
As you journey through our website, you can learn about our 40 year history as a
Congregation. Take a
tour of our Sanctuary
through the eyes of our Rabbi Emeritus, Phillip E. Schechter. Share in our festivals and simchas, as you
look through our photo albums
, including the 30th anniversary of our beloved Cantor Wayne Siet, and the installation of our wonderful Senior Rabbi Melinda Panken.
We educate over 800 children in our
Early Learning Center and
Religious School .
We are particularly proud of the number of students that continue on to Confirmation and Post Confirmation programs. The ELC offers programs
for children from 18 months old and up, including Mommy & Me, After Care, as well as offering a summer camp for pre-school age children. Our
Youth Group programs, covering grades 3 through 12, provides programming and social activities for our member’s children and their friends.
Learn about our
Sisterhood,
Men's Club, and
Renaissance Group
that offer a wide variety of social activities, educational programs, and community service. Some of our many other activities include Youth
and Adult choirs, an impressive schedule of Adult Education programs, and the fun-filled social events such as The Nifty Fifties Dance and
the Casino Night. There is always something for everybody!
Our website tells you a little about us. Only by worshipping with us, learning with
us, or sharing a Shabbat dinner with us, will you get to know the real Temple Shaari Emeth. Please join us on Friday night at 8 PM for a
Shabbat Service where you can experience the spirituality, warmth, and caring of our Congregational family. Bring your preschoolers to
experience one of our Shabbat Mischpacha services, held once a month at 7 PM for our youngest members and their families.
Our membership is open and we welcome interfaith families into Temple Shaari Emeth. If
you have any questions or issues that you would like to discuss with me, I can be reached via e-mail at this website or by contacting me
through the Temple office.
We invite you to join us.
Sincerely,
Lisa Marder
